Welcome to Shine

Hello Beautiful Daughter!

It’s been just a few weeks since we last said goodbye at SHINE 2008, and I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since. Thank you again for choosing to make room in your world to come to SHINE. I believe with all my heart that we saw the beginnings of a Love Revolution birthed among us over the course of the weekend. Wherever you are when this letter happens to come into your hands, I hope it finds you choosing to live and love like the lovely daughter of God that you are: recognizing the potential of what’s in your hand, pushing the limits on your capacity, and living generously.

I want to share with you what we, as a company of women, did together:

  • In partnership with Children’s Cup, we raised $10,000 — enough to cover the cost of all the sewing machines and materials for the sewing project at the carepoint in Sauerstown, Zimbabwe. You really rose to the challenge and extended your hands to the women of Sauerstown. With $2,000 more we could cover the cost of the entire project, including a facilitator. We can still receive donations, so let us know if you would like to give further to this project.
  • Your generosity toward The Children’s Home Society was magnificent, as we raised enough money for 15 gift baskets. The Society was also given a carload of product necessary for running the home.
  • Finally, you showed your passion to position the next generation for success by signing 378 cards in support of Real Girls, Real Life. Your signature on these cards will help networks know that you believe in the program and desire to see our young girls empowered by its positive message!

Beyond the amazing work you did in the Kindness in Action Zone, together we saw hundreds of lives changed through an encounter with Heaven. Salvation, deliverance, strength, and freedom all flowed throughout the conference. I can hardly wait till next year! Plans are already in the works to make sure that the house is ready for your arrival. So I hope that you won’t let the opportunity pass you by to register today and bring a friend with you.

I pray that the rest of your year is full of the peace and joy that only God can bring. I look forward to next year when we will have the chance to meet again. In the meantime, remember to live beautifully and keep imprinting the Father’s touch on your world!
