Launching the new Shine blog
Well, the SHINE website is up and running and I got it into my head to blog the production of Shine this year, too.
This is a new endeavor for me, and - to be honest - little out of my comfort zone. Usually when we invite people into our homes we like everything to be in order, perfectly placed, cleaned, tables set, candles lit. We dont want all the guests arriving at the time when we are rushing around with lasagna sauce on our blouse, hair a mess and kitchen dirty.
But the fact is, it takes a mess in the kitchen to make a great meal.
What our guests see as an end result is often the fruit of days of labor and planning. So, I am inviting all of you, for the first time, into the messy kitchen that serves up SHINE every year.
I want to bring you (at least those of you who are interested) along for the journey and show you what goes into making a conference. I want you to meet the team who works with me, hear the music that inspires me, and hear the message and the heart behind what has become one of the biggest passions of my life - inspiring women to be difference makers in their world and to say “yes” to a bigger, better life.
I hope you’ll enjoy this little peek behind the scenes and into the messy kitchen. More importantly, I sincerely hope you come to “dinner,” too.
Love,
Kerri
