Meet Your Shine 2008 Volunteer Coordinator!
Hi lovely girls!
It’s getting close to Thanksgiving, but we’re already deep in planning for SHINE 08 next spring - can you believe it?
My name is Jenny Huang and I have the fun pleasure of serving as your SHINE Volunteer Coordinator. Every year, hundreds of volunteers bring forth their talent, time, and efforts to host this incredible conference. I love serving alongside all of these awesome gals - and guys! - to make SHINE happen.
Our SHINE volunteers are involved with everything from preparing conference programs and refreshing the bathrooms and hallways to playing games with little ones and extending radiant smiles and hugs at the front doors. Even the men join the fun to serve as ushers and the fabulous red carpet team! Every team member plays a part in the transformation of women’s lives at SHINE.
Consider this an invitation to be a part of the SHINE 2008 story - we would love for you to be part of our team!
A handful of gals have already registered to volunteer and I’ve started to develop the SHINE volunteer team roles and staffing assignments. Check out more info and sign up at the Volunteer page.
Hope you’ll join the SHINE 2008 team - can’t wait to serve with ya!
Much love,
Jenny

When can I start helping?!?!?!?!
I’m soooooooooooo excited about Shine! I lost my “old life” at Shine 2006, it was the best day of my life!!! Shine 2007 I brought my husband’s ex-wife, and since then we have grown to be quit close friends! Shine is an awesome time for wonderful women to just be themselves and hang out with God! God bless everyone who comes, and all who can’t make it!
Call me, email me, send me a carrier bird…just let me know when to start helping…I feel like I’m not contributing and I really want to.
Thanks a bunch…Jen

Hi ladies! Thanks so much for your responses and hearts to serve. Congrats Tiffany on your soon-to-be baby girl! If you haven’t already, go ahead and register to volunteer and we’ll definitely keep you in the loop on the pre-event preparations. We would LOVE to have the extra help leading up to the event.
Love yall!

Hey girl! I am so sad that I will for the first time not be able to volunteer for Shine. I love volunteering that week end and will be sad to miss out. I will have a brand new baby girl just before Shine (YEA) and will probably have her with me at the event.
So, any prep work I can do ahead of time to help between now and then, let me know. I appreciate all that goes into that wonderful week end and appreciate all of you!

Jenny: I will be available after New Years’ to help in any way possible with “Shine”. I attended last year and loved it! I don’t work outside the home, so I am free most days. I served at my Church’s state offices in TN for 15 years, and have assisted in putting together large events like ladies’ and family retreats, state conventions, and even youth camps. I’ve done everything from stuffing envelopes and folders, to coordinating programs and banquets. I would love being some small part of “Shine.” Thanks, and God bless.

Hello all you awesome ladies!
I just want to encourage you to sign up to volunteer. Besides attending the conference for free, the greatest reward will truly be knowing that you were part of helping so many women to see and know who they really are in God’s eyes. I volunteered last year and I was truly blessed to be a part of that team. So many of the women are truly thankful for your service and they let you know it. If you volunteer I know first hand that God will smile upon you and He will bless you tremendously at SHINE while your blessing others! Be blessed !
