Meet Your After Party Organizer
Are you ready to partay!?!
I don’t know about you, but at last year’s SHINE After Party we had girls and women of all ages get out on the dance floor and party like it was 1999! If you recall, our very own Pastor Stovall hit the dance floor to busta-a-move! Maybe this year, we can get our very own Pastor Kerri up on stage to bust a groove too.
This year’s After Party will include a tattoo and photo booth, so you can get a Love Revolution tattoo, hop on over to the next booth to pose for a pic with all your girlfriends and then hit the dance floor to cut a rug!
We’ll have the After Party dance team leading the way in songs and I’ve heard a rumor that there might be some special appearances by Billy Idol and Michael Jackson, so have your cameras ready!
My name is Debbie Heald and I get the awesome privilege to throw the SHINE After Party. . . I’ll see you on the dance floor!
Meet a Member of the Host Team
Hey Ladies!
Are you ready to start a Love Revolution?! I know God is going to do amazing things in our hearts at this year’s conference that will permeate into our churches and overflow to the city! I love the idea of a Love Revolution because I believe that is the very essence of what Christ did here on earth, and it is now our job to continue the work of spreading His love.
At SHINE, this spirit of love will be nothing short of tangible as the doors open to the great team of volunteers who are ready to love and accept those God sends.
I am so excited about being a part of the host team. My name is Ashley Brooks, and I will be a host in the Network Lounge.
The Network Lounge is an environment designed especially for Christian leaders and pastor’s wives where they can relax before and after sessions. It is our desire that you connect and form relationships with other like-minded people, and we feel confident you will make a new friend and find your time in the Network Lounge very beneficial. Light refreshments will also be available for your enjoyment.
Pastor Kerri will be dropping by - so get ready to be inspired and look forward to her words of wisdom.
If you are going to be one of our honored guests this year, I can’t wait to meet you! You are going to be so blessed and refreshed by this year’s speakers. This year’s SHINE will be the best ever!!!!
See you there!
Ashley Brooks

Meet Your Prayer Room Zone Leader
Hello Beautiful Friends!
My name is Katie Sullivan and I am one of the pastors on staff at Celebration Church. I serve alongside my husband Darren as the Campus Pastors for Orange Park. Can I just say, “You Rock OP Chicks!!!?” We have a bunch of amazing gals attending Shine from the Clay County area.
One of my passions is prayer and I am very excited about being the zone leader for the prayer room. The prayer room is intended to be a place where you can respond to what God is doing in your heart during the Shine Conference. It will be open at designated times before and after each session, as well as during the altar calls.
Many women find that God is tugging at their hearts and they want a quiet place to sit and process what He is speaking. The prayer room is design with this in mind. The room will be divided into three sections including:
- a place to sit quietly to journal or pray
- a place to take communion and reflect on the cross
- a place to receive prayer from one of our prayer team members
It will be beautifully decorated with flowing fabric from floor to ceiling, scented candles, comfy pillows and soft lighting to provide soothing environment for connection with God.
Our prayer team members will be available to pray one on one with anyone who needs someone to come in agreement or stand in the gap for loved ones. We will also have special intercessory prayer going on during the entire conference to lift up the needs of the women attending and for the presence of God to move in greater and more powerful ways than we have experienced yet.
Make sure to stop by the prayer room during Shine 2008. I promise it will be worth the trip!
Love,
Katie
The Girls’ Lounge
Hello beautiful daughters of God!
I am so incredibly honored to share my heart behind the newest addition to Shine this year, the Girls’ Lounge!
My name is Elaine Owens and I am the zone leader over this brand new space dedicated solely to our youth attendees (age 11 through 18). The Girls’ Lounge is going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Not only is it a place where middle school and high school girls can come to chill out, relax and get to know each other better, it’s a space that is set up to provide quiet time between sessions for reflection, connection, prayer, journaling and the chance to really press into the voice of God.
It has been such an amazing opportunity for me to be a part of Shine this year. I never thought about how much work goes into such a huge conference and I feel so full of gratitude towards Pastor Kerri and the entire Shine team for integrating so much intent and purpose behind every detail of the event.
I feel that now, more than ever, it is critical to establish that purpose within our next generation of warrior princesses. We want to remind them how valued they truly are – that they are created perfectly by our heavenly Father, loved beyond measure and designed to fulfill a plan that was written long before they were even born! I believe we are incredibly blessed to be women – and that we each have a responsibility to pause in our individual journeys, turn back and connect with our younger sisters, offering everything we have to them – perspective, experience, wisdom, understanding and most of all – love!
Following Shine, the Girls’ Lounge will stay open on Wednesday nights before and after service, hopefully becoming a mainstay in the church where this connection can be strengthened on a regular basis.
If you haven’t signed up for Shine yet, what are you waiting for? Time is running out and if you are under 18, you can attend for FREE!
Shine 2008 is going to be a blast, with everything from special performances to extraordinary speakers and some awesome treats in between that you will simply have to experience to believe. Don’t let anything keep you from joining us for this incredible weekend – even if you can only come for one or two days, you won’t want to miss it!
I cannot wait to see you in the Girls’ Lounge and until then, beautiful daughters, keep rockin’ your faith BIG TIME!
Love ya girls!
-Elaine
Meet Your Creative Director
Hello Ladies!!!!!
My name is Melissa Johnson, and I am soooo looking forward to Shine 08!!! Although I am a worship leader here at Celebration, you won’t be seeing me on the stage this year because I am currently pregnant with twins!!!
For this year’s Shine conference, I am serving as the Creative Director. What does that mean exactly . . . ? Well, basically I have been a part of creating, staffing and directing all the creative elements that will happen during the conference sessions.

This year’s opener, which includes a Celebration first, has some exciting and powerful elements that you simply do NOT want to miss!!! Oh my gosh! Still time to sign up for the SHINE team!
Showing off one of our volunteer t-shirts for the men.
Hiya girls!
Many of you have already heard about the hundreds of lives changed and hearts transformed at last year’s SHINE event. It was incredible to see so many women and girls renew their joy, discover their purpose or surrender their lives to Jesus!
The story you may not have heard about takes place behind-the-scenes – nearly 200 volunteers lovingly assembled SHINE bags, extended welcoming smiles from the parking lot to the front doors, picked up trash, cared for crying babies, and yes, even cleaned toilets to ensure the SHINE guests would have an incredible experience. This was the team that helped make SHINE happen!
As we countdown to event day, we wanted to do a special shout-out to all the ladies who want to make an eternal difference in lives of our SHINE guests – we would love for you to join our SHINE team!
There’s still time for you to sign up and volunteer with SHINE 2008 – check out the volunteer page for more details and to register.
For those that have already signed up, I’m SO excited to serve with all of you! Don’t forget about the volunteer training sessions:
- Thursday, April 17, 7 pm (Midtown campus)
- Monday, April 28, 7 pm (Midtown campus)
You’ll receive your team assignments on the first training night and we’ll give you the full low-down on all the event details. During the second session, you’ll meet specifically with your team/zone leader and learn more about your team role.
Here are a couple volunteer updates:
- Pre-Event Prep team – if you’re available to help during the day, come join the pre-event team! We will be hosting two sessions for event prep (note that volunteers assisting with pre-event prep will also need to serve during the event).
- Friday, April 18, 1-5 pm
- Friday, April 25, 1-5 pm
- Men – we definitely need guys to volunteer as well! We need some extra help with set up/breakdown, parking, ushers, and registration.
Love you girls!
Jenny
p.s. – if you volunteered at last year’s SHINE event, would love to hear any praise reports or testimonies from your experience!
Meet Part of the Creative Design Team
Hello Beautiful Sisters! Let me start off by saying I know and believe that this year’s Shine conference (3rd annual) will be the most creative, inspiring, God-moving conference yet! I am very excited and honored to be a part of the SHINE conference team!
My name is Hana Hunter and my role on the Celebration team encompasses everything from creative design to product sourcing and branding to name a few.
It has been awesome working over the past 6 months with Pastor Kerri helping bring her vision to life for this year’s Shine conference. The moment Pastor Kerri shared her vision with me for this year’s conference, “Love Revolution,” I instantly had promptings of excitement and passion!
Along with a team of many incredibly awesome and talented people, I have designed the wardrobe concept/theme for the Shine brochure, poster and video shoot. I also had the opportunity to snap some photos for the print brochures - I love photography! Throughout this process God has shown me that vision promptings can come to life if you just seek Him!
I am humbled, honored and truly excited that Pastor Kerri and the team have empowered me to run with some of the creative elements for “Love Revolution.”
When you are at Shine this year, take a look around. The themes and décor for this event were built and created by an awesome team of people that I am so proud to be a part of. We have been busy creating and branding the décor for SHINE’s Love Revolution so that when you attend the conference you can focus totally on God and feel “safe” in the environments where God can move on your life.
Oh yeah, let me share some “inside info” with you . . . The “Love Revolution” shirts for this year are nothing short of AMAZING (thanks to God)!!!
Ihave been working closely with a manufacturer in designing a Shine Love Revolution Boutique Series! The series will be a shirt with the burnout technique along with a flocked rhinestone concept – something for everyone as a fashionable piece you can wear, feel empowered and remember that God has “fashioned” each of you in greatness!
God has really brought great product for this year to a whole new level and at a great price too! There will be something for everyone!
I can’t wait until May 1st - 3rd . . . see you girls there!
Xoxo
Hana
